Pull links out of any text with smart paste
To extract URLs from any text, copy the text, tap Paste in MultiOpen and then Add URL. MultiOpen keeps only the links, drops duplicates, and puts them in a list you open with Open all.
Paste text, get a clean list
- Copy the text that holds your links: an email, a chat, notes, a table or a spreadsheet column.
- In Safari, open MultiOpen. On iPhone and iPad, tap the page menu next to the address, then MultiOpen. On Mac, press ⌥⇧O.
- Tap Paste. The copied text goes into the field. You can also paste into the field by hand.
- Tap Add URL. MultiOpen finds every link in the text, adds it to the list and tells you how many it added.
- Tap Open all to open them, or leave the list for later.

What smart paste understands
You don't need to tidy the text first. Smart link recognition handles:
- Links one per line, or separated by commas or spaces.
- Links inside ordinary sentences in emails, chats and notes.
- Lists copied from web pages and messengers.
- Tables and spreadsheet columns.
- Emoji right next to a link. The emoji stays out of the link.
- Map links with commas in them. The commas stay part of the link.
- Duplicates. Each address appears in the list only once.
Everything in the text that is not a link is left out.
Collect from several places
You can build one list from many sources. Paste from a chat, press Add URL, then paste from an email and press Add URL again. Each time, new links go to the end of the list, and links already in it are skipped.
This works well for links scattered across a long thread, a column of URLs in a spreadsheet, meeting notes, or a message full of pull requests. Developers and testers can find more ideas in URL lists for developers and QA.
Open links from an email
Say a colleague sends you a dozen links in one email. In Mail, select the text from the first link to the last and tap Copy. Switch to Safari, open MultiOpen, tap Paste, then Add URL. The links appear in the list, and the rest of the email is gone. Tap Open all.
On Mac, if the text is on a web page in Safari, such as webmail or a chat, you can skip the copy. Select the text, right-click it and choose Open Links in Selection to open the links, or Add Links to MultiOpen List to put them in your list.
Check and reuse the list
Each link gets its own numbered row. Tap the red cross on a row to remove a link. Copy above the list copies every link, one per line, so the clean list can go into a note, a spreadsheet or a message.
The list is auto-saved and waits for you between sessions. To keep it for good, tap Save set and give it a name.
Pasting a long list? Before Open all, set Opening to When viewed, so each page loads only when you switch to it. See Open 100+ links without freezing Safari.
