Open multiple links at once in Safari on Mac
To open multiple links at once in Safari on Mac, press ⌥⇧O to open MultiOpen, paste your list, click Add URL, then Open all. Or select text on any page, right-click it and choose Open Links in Selection.
Turn on MultiOpen in Safari
Install MultiOpen from the App Store. It needs macOS 12 or later. Then switch the extension on once:
- In Safari, choose Safari → Settings… (⌘,)
- In the Extensions tab, check MultiOpen
- Click Always Allow on Every Website… and confirm
- Click the MultiOpen button in the toolbar, or press ⌥⇧O
Don't see the button? Choose View → Customize Toolbar… and drag MultiOpen to the toolbar.
Open a list of links
- Copy your links from anywhere: a document, an email, a spreadsheet column.
- In Safari, press ⌥⇧O or click the MultiOpen button in the toolbar.
- Click Paste, or click the field and press ⌘V.
- Click Add URL. MultiOpen keeps only the links and moves them into the list.
- Click Open all. Each link opens as its own tab.
Long lists open in waves. The first 20 tabs open right away, and the rest follow in waves of 20, a moment apart.
Send the links to a new window
Your current tabs can stay where they are. Click Opening to show the options and turn on In a new window. The next time you click Open all, the whole list opens in a fresh Safari window. This option is on Mac only.
The same section sets how tabs load: At once, One by one with a pause of 1, 3, 5 or 10 seconds, or When viewed, where each page loads only when you switch to its tab. More in Open 100+ links without freezing Safari.

Right-click selected text
You can skip the window entirely. Select the part of a page that holds the links, then right-click the selection. Safari's menu has two MultiOpen items:
- Open Links in Selection opens every link inside the selected text as tabs.
- Add Links to MultiOpen List adds the links in the selection to your list, so you can check them and open them later. Right-click a single link, and this item adds just that link.
Use it on search results, a newsletter you read in the browser, or one section of a long article. To take every link on the page instead, use Page. See Open every link on a web page.
Other ways to fill the list
- Page collects the links of the page you are on, or only the ones in your selection.
- Tabs gathers the tabs open in the window into the list. Save tabs keeps them as a Set. See Save all open Safari tabs as a Set.
- Messy text works too. Paste an email or notes, and smart link recognition keeps only the links. See Pull links out of any text.
The two-column window
On Mac the MultiOpen window is wider, with two columns. The field, the buttons and Opening sit on the left. Your Sets and the list sit on the right, so a long list stays in view while you work.
One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. Every feature is free for 7 days, then $0.99 a year or $2.99 once. See pricing.
Your list is auto-saved. Close the window, press ⌥⇧O an hour later, and the links are still there.
