Save all open Safari tabs as a Set and reopen them later
To save all your open Safari tabs, open MultiOpen and press Save tabs. The tabs in your current window become a Set named with the date, and you can bring every tab back later from that Set.
Save your tabs in one tap
- Go to the Safari window that holds the tabs you want to save.
- Open MultiOpen. On iPhone and iPad, tap the page menu next to the address, then MultiOpen. On Mac, press ⌥⇧O.
- Under Sets, press Save tabs.
- MultiOpen saves the tabs as a new Set. Its name is Tabs plus the date and time, for example Tabs Nov 3, 01:20 AM.
- Close the tabs when you are ready. The Set keeps their links.

Save tabs only saves. It closes nothing, so you decide when the tabs go. If the same page is open twice, the Set keeps it once.
Reopen a Set later
- Open MultiOpen.
- Tap the Set's name under Sets. Its links fill the list.
- Tap Open all. Every tab comes back.
Tapping a Set replaces the list you have now. If you tap the wrong one, Undo brings your old list back.
A Set with many tabs? Pick When viewed under Opening first, and each page loads only when you switch to it. See Open 100+ links without freezing Safari.
Tabs or Save tabs?
Both buttons start from your open tabs. They do different jobs.
- Save tabs saves the open tabs straight into a new Set. Use it when you want to close everything and come back later.
- Tabs gathers the open tabs into the list. There you can remove some and add other links. Then press Save set and give the Set your own name.
Save any list as a Set
Sets work for pasted lists too. Fill the list, tap Save set, type a name such as Morning or Work, and tap the check mark. If you type a name that already exists, the new list replaces that Set.
On Mac, turn on In a new window under Opening before you reopen a Set. Its tabs then come back in a window of their own. See Open multiple links at once in Safari on Mac.
Rename or delete Sets
Press Edit next to Sets. Each Set gets a name field, so Tabs Nov 3 can become Trip planning. You can also move a Set up or down, or delete it. Press Done when you finish.
You can keep up to 12 Sets. When you have 12, delete one you no longer need before you save a new one.

MultiOpen has no account and collects no data. Its App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected.
Before you close a crowded window, press Save tabs, even if you think you are done with it. If you need those pages again, they are one Set away.
